Yes, you need to create a Gogrok account and password before you can sign in and start a session.

Gogrok 2.1 has intelligent detection capabilities and is able to bypass standard firewalls.Generally, Gogrok has no problem making a connection. If you are unable to sign in to Gogrok, it may be that your network is down. Otherwise, your computer or company might be having very strict firewall settings, in this case, please manually add Gogrok.exe to the firewall's exception list.

To change your password go to the Gogrok website and click on "Gogrok Account Information". Enter your account and password, and after you have signed in you will see "Edit Personal Information". Click on it and you will be able to change your password. After you have made your changes, click on Send and the update will take effect immediately.

Account names and passwords may include the following:
- Capital and lower case English letters
- The numerals 0~9
- Special characters @ . _ - but not as the first character of the account name
Here are some hints on creating a secure password:
- Include upper and lower case letters
- Include numerals and symbols (for example:!@#$%^&*()_+
~<>?,./-=\'`;:")
- Do not use names or individual words

We strongly recommend that you use the same version of Gogrok to avoid conflicts and inconsistencies.

You must have administrator privileges to install Gogrok. To check whether or not you have administrator privileges, follow these steps:
- From the Windows start menu select 「start」→「run」
- enter 「control userpasswords2」 and press 「enter」
If you see the 「user account」 window and it has two tabs, then you already have administrator privileges. If you are asked for the administrator's password, then you don't have administrator privileges, and you need to get in touch with your administrator.

You can use the Windows "Audio Hardware Test Wizard" or the "Test Audio Settings" feature on Skype's welcome screen to test headsets, microphones, or speakers.

- On the welcome screen after installing Skype, there is a "Test Audio Settings" button
- Skype>Voice>About Voice Quality>"Start Audio Test Wizard" link

There are several methods that will allow you to create an account:
- After installing Gogrok you will see a window inviting you to create a new account.
- When opening Gogrok, below the User ID field is a link to 「Register a new account」; clicking this link will bring up an account registration window.
- Go to www.gogrok.com and click on [Gogrok User Information] then [Register a new account]
- You can also ask current Gogrok users to send you an invitation. Go to www.gogrok.com, and select [share Gogrok with friends]

Go to www.gogrok.com, select [Gogrok Member Area] then [I forgot my account name]; fill in the email address you used during registration, and your ID will be sent to you by email.

When you open Gogrok you can use the 「I forgot my password」 button beneath the password field; fill in your ID and a new password will be emailed to you. You can use this password to sign in to Gogrok, then change it to something easier to remember.

No, the new version can be installed on top of the old version, and will preserve your account name and password.
